The Accounting Associate reports to the Corporate Controller. This position assists and supports the accounting team with data entry, account analysis, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
Accounting Associate (Remote)

Work Location:
100% remote with option available to work in New York City office.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze information to prepare and enter invoices, journal entries, and foreign currency adjustments.
- Analyze and reconcile bank statements.
- Participate in the month-end close process, including reconciling balance sheet accounts, and month-end adjustments and journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports to be presented to senior management.
- Assist with processing credit card statements.
- Coordinate with outside accounting firms to prepare Value Added Tax (VAT) returns for UK and German offices.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, business administration, or similar.
- 2-4 years of previous accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal and external constituents with a highly professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
- Exceptional written, oral, and electronic communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills and ability with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to learn new computer skills and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deltek Vantagepoint experience.
- Professional services industry/project-based accounting experience.
