Ralph Appelbaum Associates is seeking a full-time, US-based Content Developer. This position is based out of our New York City studio but is remote optional.
The Content team on any project has a diverse set of responsibilities related to the narratives, stories, and collections that underpin the experiences we create. They work with clients to craft storylines and interpretive frameworks, and they develop and implement strategies for managing large scale and complex information flows between curatorial and archival teams and RAA’s design teams. The team works with Creative Directors, Visual Designers, and Physical Designers to shape a project’s narrative into a cohesive experience. Content team members’ work merges creativity, strategy, and organization, through overlapping areas of emphasis: Content Development and Content Management.
The Content Developer helps to shape a project’s creative output by participating in ideation and planning with the client and the design team. This position will shape the qualities of the visitor experience, establish a content development strategy with RAA and the client teams, implement content strategies with RAA content coordinators and RAA subconsultants, and be responsible for facilitating research and writing, asset/collection reviews, process articulation and actioning internally and externally with the client, and client communications related to all content tasks.
