The Whale is an ambitious cultural project located in Andenes, Norway. Housed within the dramatic architecture of Dorte Mandrup, the forthcoming museum will combine science and art to inspire ocean conservation and deepen visitors’ understanding of whale biology, evolution, behavior, and ecology. Promising an empathetic, multi-sensory exploration of the profound connection between humans and whales, it plans to merge science and artistic elements in new ways.
