Brooklands Museum: Designing an aircraft factory exhibition inside a restored WWII hangar
Museums + Heritage outlines the inner workings of the Brooklands Museum updated facilities, for which RAA provided exhibition interpretation and planning. Composed of the Bellman Hangar (originally erected on the site in November 1940), a racetrack restored for outdoor events, a new Flight Shed that houses a workshop where courses are offered to teach people how to maintain historic aircraft, and additional exhibition spaces, the Brooklands Museum endeavors to connect visitors to the experience of the thousands of workers who built more than 18,800 planes on the site.
